I have a passion for vintage shotguns — The old school, classic workingman's hardware store guns are my favorites — I love the idea that these were affordable guns that spent a lifetime providing protection for families and putting food on the table. It’s important that these venerable old-timers can have a new life.
My primary focus is creating old school, custom, double barrel scatterguns and coach guns from firearms manufactured from the late 1800’s through the 1970’s. I also create trench and riot gun clones, build wild customs, and everything in between.
With my customs, it is critical to the accentuate the character that comes with the age of the firearm — I generally try to repair instead of replace, especially any wooden pieces. I often leave repairs visible because they are part of the gun’s history, and they just plain look cool. For instance, I usually don’t hide wooden pins and I will often bolster a cracked stock repair with brass or sterling silver straps and polished brass hardware — Saving pieces that others consider hopeless is what it’s all about.
Every firearms enthusiast should own at least one badass custom shotgun. I do in-house builds for auction and client-specific builds.
