Custom Crescent Empire 12 GA Coach Gun. Case Hardened Finish. 18" Barrels
Crescent Firearms No. 60 Empire hammerless double barrel coach gun in 12 gauge. I believe this gun was manufactured in 1921. Color case hardened receiver. The barrels have been shortened to 18.25” with 2.75” chambers. Bores are in great condition and are clean, smooth and bright. Barrels sport a hand-turned and polished brass front "Doorknob" front bead. The wrist has been solidly repaired (epoxied and pinned with small bamboo dowels). The stock was shortened by 1” and is coated with 10 layers of my own “White Lightning” shellac. The butt plate is hand-shaped from a sweet piece of Royal Mexican Ebony (Katalox) and is fastened with polished brass hardware. This old gal shows beautiful patina, character and imperfections that you can only get with a firearm of its age. They don't build them like this today. It's a great little shooter. LOP is 12.5” and 13”.5 — Overall length 34”.
