1904 U.S. Arms Co. 12 Gauge Exposed Hammer Rescue — “Hare Chaser”

This gun was pretty beat up when I got it. The stock was broken into 5 separate pieces where it meets the receiver. I rebuilt the stock, fortifying it with wooden dowels and a steel rod into the wrist to reinforce this commonly weak area. I also shortened the lumber by 1” and engraved a custom running hare design. The gun came with a large sling mount welded to the barrels. I decided against trying to remove it and instead accentuate by polishing it and adding a sling. The barrels were shortened to 18.2”. LOP is 12” and 13”, Overall length 34.25”. The butt plate and grip cap were hand-shaped from a beautiful piece of African Wenge wood. The front bead hand-shaped and polished brass. It’s kinda weird, but I like it.
